I walked back to the booth where I was displaying and grabbed my guitar. I felt the difference immediately and bought a strap on the spot. Since then I have puchased another and every single guitar and bass slinger in Toots and the Maytals is strapped with Moody leather. Once you own one you're hooked! Great work Allison and thank you.
Carl was born in Jamaica and then immigrated to Toronto, Canada at an early age. His life was transformed at the age of 13, when he picked up his first guitar. Growing up in Toronto, he was exposed to a wealth of different music. He played the tuba in high school, and listened as much Rock and Blues as he could find. Things took a turn when a neighbor recognized Carl’s musical talent and introduced him to his library of soul music. It was later when a friend introduced him to the magic of Jimi Hendrix that Carl realized music would be his full time calling.
After many years in the studio, Carl has become an accomplished recording engineer with extensive experience in everything from hip-hop to jazz. He was awarded a Gold Record as Producer for “Hands Up” an album by artists “Sway”. His lyrics are well crafted, allowing the songs to transcend boundaries so to touch people of any age, gender, race or spiritual persuasion. “The Times” is an album that already sounds like a collection of greatest hits. Although Carl has been to many places around the world and has many great achievements to speak of, he feels that “The Times” is just the beginning.
