Billy Sheehan Signature Non Leather Moody Signature Strap (01/2008)
Billy Sheehan is unveiling his new non leather strap. Yes, I said non leather! Sheehan only wears Moody’s 4 inch all leather strap in the studio. However, he requested something that would hold up to his sweat soaked onstage performances. So, we designed a beautiful 3 inch fixed length, double layer black webbing strap just for him. We will announce pricing and production Feb, 2008.

Note from CEO Allison Moody (01/2008)
2007 was filled with many adventures. We began the year with our first exhibiting winter NAMM in Anaheim. Dedicated, I attended the show 4 years in a row and in 2007 I finally built the company to a level that supported us to exhibit. We managed to pick up Guitar Center and sell our entire booth!
February brought us the Rock and Roll fantasy Camp, Paul Stanley and many others. Thank-You Moody girls!
The year flowed gracefully with glowing reviews in both Just Jazz and Guitar Player magazines. We ended our first quarter with our 3rd annual exhibit at the Dallas International Guitar Show. With the amount of sales and traffic you would have thought we were giving away free food! The musical icing on cake was performances in the Moody booth by Gary Hoey, Linda Kay Parker and Lee Coulter.
Summer NAMM quickly approached and we were blessed with the new endorsement by Neil Zaza that triggered our relationship with a major Korean distributor Chris Cho. The summer ended with a new successful account with Musicians Friend and the introduction of our beautiful Vintage style strap.
We ended the year with an amazing challenge from the California fires; forcing us to relocate our manufacturing studio back up to Monterey. The gift I received from this experience was the gift of support and community.
I would like to give a very brilliant thank-you to my Moody team: my right hand woman Kathy O’Connell, my webmaster Brooks White, the fine folks at Sunset; Eric, Harry, Nick and Hong, along with Reese Marin from Bellevue American Music, and my main vein and curly headed cutie Rob Deits. I could have never made it through this trying time without all of you. I would also like to express my gratitude to all of our endorsees and to our dedicated Moody customers.
Most of all I would like the thank Col. Moody Suter for giving me the drive, ambition and dreams to create Moody Leather, Inc. With all my heart and soul….I am grateful.

NAMM/PLAYback Review (07/2006)
NAMM/PLAYback
"Allison Suter is on a mission: to market guitar straps created for function rather than fashion. While her company, Moody Fine Leathers, works to fill multiple orders from professional musicians and guitar manufacturers, she’s working to reach her target market with the message that a comfortable leather strap can actually improve a player’s ability."

Bass Player Magazine Review (06/2006)
Bass Player Magazine by Jonathan Herrera
"The reduced traction was just right. It wasn't too slippery, forcing me to hold the neck up; instead, it sat basses comfortably on my shoulder without dragging my shirt around."

The Article That Started it All (04/2004)
Guitar Player by Michael Molenda
Here is the entire content of the first article published about Moody Straps:
"Many players treat guitar straps as less-than-afterthoughts. That is, until their backs turn to jello due to the ineffective distribution of the guitar’s weight, or until some bar bruiser gives them grief for hoisting a fine instrument on dorky rigging. Happily, a Moody Standard strap ($69 direct) can guard against sins of fashion and body abuse. These lovely, handcrafted accessories have a top layer of fine Italian leather, a middle layer of luscious suede, and a bottom layer of shoulder-nurturing suede. The 2.5" Standard model is comfy enough to make a Les Paul appear almost weightless, and it feels already “broken in” from the very first use. If you never thought you’d fall in love with a guitar strap, check one of these out—and have an engagement ring ready!"
