RAD is an American boy band comprised of members Adam Dorfman, Ethan Khusidman, Liam Thrift and Damon Watson. They formed in 2014 and are managed by Trapper Felides of The Next Big Thing: NY. Trapper states of the boys, “I have been so fortunate to work with the top young talent across recording, TV and film, and never have I been as excited to present something to the world as I am with RAD. These boys are merging genres and years of professional experience to create a sound that beyond exceeds your average teenage garage band and will play not only to kids, but to kids of all ages.”
The boys coined the term of their genre as PRONK, a combination of Pop, Rock Punk and Funk music. Based in New York City, the boys began performing at local venues such as The Apollo Theater and The Bitter End as well as local festivals with covers of bands such as The Beatles and Foster the People. Their energy captivates diverse crowds, making fans at the Into the Woods film release party and drawing the attention of Chris Barron, lead singer of Spin Doctors, a fan of their cover of his Two Princes.
In September 2015, they released their first original singles, Angelina and Falling for Who, both executive produced by Trapper Felides. Future plans for RAD include taking them to the road with a Los Angeles trip planned in January, performing in as many of the storied venues that NYC has to offer, and continuing to develop their repertoire and voice as a band.
